Office Assistant/Bookkeeper
We would like to hire an Office Assistant/Bookkeeper to handle our day to day financial tasks relating to invoicing, accounts receivables, daily deposits, etc.
Additionally, this position includes assisting in answering the phones, helping walk-in customers, providing excellent customer service, etc.
Understanding all aspects of a retail environment is essential to being successful in this position.
Office Assistant/Bookkeeper Responsibilities:
Recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process.
Obtaining full understanding of company software used for daily operations.
Monitoring daily financial transactions, preparing deposits, and reports.
Processing accounts receivable.
Collection of overdue accounts.
Understanding customer accounts, and the flow of transactions in the retail setting.
Working with an accountant when necessary.
Assisting with answering the phones.
Providing customer service, including sales, when necessary.
Assisting with online marketing on website, and social media.
Office Assistant/Bookkeeper Requirements:
Knowledge of general accounting principles, and bookkeeping software.
At least 2 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within a business services environment.
High school diploma.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Attention to detail and accuracy of work.
Experience in a retail setting.
Team oriented.
