*Preschool Teacher Job Description*
Teachers at St.
Mark Lutheran Preschool are responsible for assisting and collaborating with their teaching partners to create a kind, enriched, and engaging Project-Based Learning Experience for a class of 12 preschoolers.
*Qualifications & Requirements*
*ALL ST.
MARK LUTHERAN CHURCH & PRESCHOOL EMPLOYEES MUST HAVE COMPLETED THE COVID-19 PRIMARY SERIES.
(Boosters Highly Recommended)*
· High School diploma or equivalent and education in a related field and experience working with young children.
· A CDA credential and/or an associate or bachelor’s degree\* in early childhood education or a related field, or at least 3 years of relevant experience.
· Be certified in CPR and First-Aid within the first 3 months of employment.
· Be able to work full-time (an average of 40 hours a week) for the entire year, excluding holidays, closures, vacations, and approved leave or work part-time schedule as assigned.
*\*\*Experience with Project-Based Learning and Conscious Discipline SEL is ideal.

*Physical Demands and Work Requirements*
This position requires the teacher to be able to care for children’s physical needs on a consistent basis.
Teachers must be able to interact with children on their level; frequent bending, squatting, and playing on the floor is expected.
Children and teachers move about the building and grounds on a daily basis, climbing up and down stairs and going outside in all types of weather, including heat (above 75), cold (below 40), rain, snow, and wind.
The teacher must be able to participate in all activities, in all types of weather, without reservation.

* Engage with the children in their care, using a project-based approach teaching methods.
* Ensure the healthy, safety and wellbeing of all children.
* Nurture physical, spiritual, emotional, social and intellectual growth and development for each child using Project-Based Learning and Social-Emotional Learning.
* Provide constant, consistent active supervision of the children in their care.
* Maintain healthy relationships with families and maintain regular and meaningful communication.
* Participate in training and professional development
* Collaborate with other teachers and administration
