The University of Virginia's Department of Economics of the College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences invites applications for the newly established James H.
and Elizabeth W.
Wright Jefferson Scholars Foundation Distinguished Professorship at the rank of Associate or Full Professor (the position is with tenure; the distinguished professorship is a five-year renewable term).
We are interested in candidates working in all fields of economics.
Applicants should be established national and international leaders in the field, with highly influential publications along with an outstanding record of teaching undergraduates and advising Ph.
D.
students in their research.
We seek candidates dedicated to our mission and passionate about teaching in a world-class institution.
Candidates will be expected to teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels and provide service to the Department, professional organizations, and the university.
The position provides the opportunity to work with a great research team and advance innovative ideas, with the support of the Jefferson Scholars Foundation.

The positions will remain open until filled.
The anticipated appointment start date will be Fall 2024.

or terminal degree.
