The Office of the Vice President for Research at the University of Virginia is seeking a Research Compliance Analyst or Compliance Manager to join their team.
This position will be filled at either level dependent on the qualifications of the finalist selected.
Responsibilities includes the design and implementation of procedures for post approval monitoring (PAM) of studies approved through the Institutional Review Board for the Social and Behavioral Sciences (IRB-SBS).
The incumbent collaborates with IT programmers/developers and IRB-SBS administrative staff to further develop a successful and meaningful post approval monitoring program.
The Research Compliance Analyst or Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining membership, procedures, and function for the SBS PAM & ED Advisory Committee.
The incumbent will coordinate with IT programmers/developers and IRB-SBS administrative staff to develop and deliver educational materials and sessions aimed at improving an understanding of and compliance with the Human Research Protections Program policies and procedures at the University of Virginia.
The expectation for this position is that the candidate will work three in-office days with a possibility of two remote workdays each week.
Thus, the preferred candidate would reside in Charlottesville or the surrounding area.
Minimum Requirements, Compliance Analyst:
Education: Bachelor's degree
Experience: At least two years of relevant experience.
Minimum Requirements, Compliance Manager:
Education: Bachelor's degree
Experience: At least five years of relevant experience.
Physical Demands: This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers.
The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
Anticipated Compensation (commensurate with experience and qualifications):
Compliance Analyst: $60,000 - $65,000
Compliance Manager: $75,000 - $85,000
