Is anyone in the Madison VA area missing a bantam rooster? I was on my way home from dropping off a friend and nearly ran over a rooster sitting in the middle of the road.
He didn't move until I tried to grab him, so unfortunetly he is missing some tail feathers.
He was soaking wet and cold, and there was no one close looking for him.
I was on my way to pick something up at the time and almost late so I just put him in a carrier in the back of my car and took him home.
He seems fat and well taken care of, which is why I don't think he was dumped.
He has a large red comb, black feet, black body, and a reddish orange neck.
Doesn't seem very buddy-buddy but might just be because he's scared.
If he is your rooster I will be glad to give him back, if not he will probably stay with me for awhile.
I don't see any visible injuries other than his ego may be a bit wounded.
