Ibanez Jazz Rocker, Samick quality, Lollar Charlie Christian - $575 (Waynesboro)

Nice jazz guitar that can rock! Ibanez AF 80 Artstar, made in Korea in the Samick factory in 1994.
I hesitate to call anything from the 1990s 'vintage' but it is 30 years old.
This jazzbox worked for a living.
It was the previous owner's number one playing out for some years.
Small dings and typical honest playwear; no serious dangs or structural issues.
A previous owner must have had a MIDI pickup installed.
Two small fills are apparent in the top above the bridge (see pictures).
The neck is straight and the action low.
There are small age cracks in the treble side neck binding; these are smooth to the touch and solid.
No binding is loose.
The previous owner upgraded the neck pickup to a hot, more vintage sounding Lollar Charlie Christian big single coil in the neck position.
He had the wiring harness upgraded with 500k CTS pots, Bumble Bee and Orange Drop caps in a 1950's Gibson style layout.
The bridge pickup is the stock Ibanez Super 50 and sounds brilliant with gain.
Big body, robust build.
Some nice tones in the middle position can be dialed in to taste.
Bridge upgraded to Ebony, fitted to the top.
Amber Ibanez knobs with the rubber grip.
Includes a well worn but still solid original Ibanez hard case.
Currently set up with Thomastik George Benson Jazz flatwounds; feel like 12s.
The frets have typical wear, still plenty of life left.
