The Backdoor Receiver is responsible for the following job functions in addition to the essential job functions required for the Grocery Department:
Proper Check-In/Out Procedures - ensuring that all vendors are checked in and out according to KMA policy.
Reclamation - ensures that reclamation is sorted through, scanned out of C.

and sent in for proper credit according to the KMA policy.
Shrink Awareness - ensures that shrink is a high-profile area at the backdoor and throughout the backroom.
Security - Doors, Desk, Truck Seals.
Ensures that maximum security is adhered to at all times.
Ensures that emergency exits are clear at all times the backdoor is in use.
Follows up with Customer Requests with the vendors and the customer for items that are delivered from outside vendors.
Paperwork follow-up - runs daily and weekly reports, ensures that reports match vendor tickets.
Checks Store Charge Run to weekly reports for accuracy.
Follow-up with all discrepancies.
Communicate with vendors to ensure adequate product is on hand to back the ad and all buy-ins are properly built.
Keeps an organized and clean receiving area.
Assists in preparation for Grocery/Drug Inventory by communicating with management, vendors, and inventory crew.
Develops a back-up person that is capable of responsibility taking over receiving duties in the absence of the backdoor receiver.
Ensures proper inventory management of all vendor-delivered items.
The clerk is also responsible for the following ADDITIONAL DUTIES which may become ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, depending on the particular store, availability of personnel, time of day, etc.
: Taking trash to the dumpster, operating the baler if at least 18 years old, sweeping and mopping spills, etc.
