We are seeking a Structural Welder Foreman at our facility in Lyndhurst, VA.
This is a manufacturing position that is responsible for the fabrication and welding of structural aspects of a refrigeration system.
This position will provide pre-fabrication to support our field construction team.
Experience Required: 5+ Years
Shift: 1st
Schedule: M-F, every other Saturday
Key Duties:
Work closely with the manufacturing leadership team to ensure project completion and maintain high levels of quality control, safety, and efficiency for assigned staff
Weld structural components such as skid frames, penthouse frames, dispersion tanks, condenser platforms, and pipe stands
Weld other critical structural components of the following: Compressors, vessels, evaporators, oil separators, and various pieces of pre-fab
Manage team of welders to do all above assigned tasks
Perform load rigging, torch cutting, and leveling with use of measurement tools
Operate grinder and wire wheel
Other duties as needed in the shop
Requirements:
Experienced structural welder with 5+ years’ experience
Management experience required, 2-5+ years’
Must be able to pass a 3G Stick Weld test (tested on ¼” plate, 37.
5-degree bevel, open root, uphill progression) and Stainless Steel plate test
Ability to climb 40-foot extension ladders and work on all types of ladders
Ability to operate scissor lifts, fork trucks, boom lifts, lulls and other industrial equipment safely
Must be able to work at heights in a safety harness
Requires working in a shop that can get very hot or very cold.
Must have the ability to wear all required safety PPE in these conditions.
Position requires pre-employment drug screening and background check
Must be willing to help the shop team out in the following areas: insulation, electrical, and painting
Should be familiar with rigging, torch cutting, grinder & wire wheel operation, leveling, and use of measurement tools
This position is a safety sensitive position and will require pre-employment and regular drug testing
