Job Highlights:
We are seeking a highly motivated Back-End Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to our mission of compiling government and commercial flight/maritime data through Big Data Applications in a DevOps Environment.
You will work on data processing projects, including geospatial tracking applications and target tracking and play a critical role in determining technical objectives for the development and modification of enterprise-wide end-user, system level, and data management software applications.
This position offers a unique opportunity to support our Activity-Based Intelligence team with a back-end focus to help users identify, view, and interact with activities between entities (e.
g.
, aircraft) and across domains (e.
g.
, Air+Maritime).
This streaming geospatial data platform handles billions of records a day and houses petabytes of historical information, enabling rich and impactful analytics, and giving users the ability to keep track of the most relevant information.

Formulate plans, develop, and implement software solutions including language, coding, platform, resource requirements, testing, and documentation
Determine technical objectives for user requirements and specifications and plan for enterprise software development within the broader organizational scope
Develop and communicate new concepts and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment
Assist in the planning and coordination of deployment of enterprise applications including cross-platform compliance
Assist in the planning and coordination of the maintenance of enterprise solutions including debugging, maintenance, and updating to ensure viability in an evolving environment
May provide direction and guidance to less experienced developers or the team of developers
Back-End Software Engineer Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems or related discipline
6+ years of experience in software engineering or software development for information technology systems
Proficient in at least one of the following languages: Java, Scala, Python
Experience working with Linux systems
Comfortable with version control and Git
Ability to obtain Security + Certification
